Football Club Season Returns after World Cup 2022

Football club season is set to resume immediately after the 2022 FIFA World Cup which concluded with Argentina becoming the new World Champions beating France in the final in what was an absolute epic football match. Messi guided his nation to world cup glory finally even though Mbappe scored a hattrick in the final and became the first player to do so since Sir Jeff Hurst since 1966. Unlike previous editions where players had a month long layoff after the world cup, it wont be the case this time around. Football club season returns within a few days.

Although players who participated in semifinals and finals of world cup are likely to be given a 1 week break. But the matches start as early as 23rd december when EFL cup matches take place in England. While the top 5 leagues get underway on 26th December 2022.

First set of Premier League fixtures will take place on the boxing day 26 December 2022. Where Manchester City take on Liverpool while some other big games. Its remain to be seen whether players who participated in the semifinals and finals of the tournament will be included in the squads for next week.
