Worlds Famous Boxing Arenas

Yankee Stadium: 2009

Yankee Stadium is home to Major League Baseball New York Yankees and Major League Soccer New York City FC. Opened in April 2009, the stadium replaced the original Yankee Stadium which operated from 1923 to 2008. It takes its former spot in the standings, at Nine Macombs Dam Park, a block north of the stadium's original location. The new Yankee Stadium reflects the design cues of the original Yankee Stadium, including the exterior and distinctive frieze, while offering larger rooms and modern amenities. Yankee Stadium is Major League Baseball's third largest stadium with a massive seating capacity.

Caesars Palace: 1966

Caesars Palace was founded in 1966 by Jay Sarno and Stanley Mallin with the aim of creating a magnificent building that would make visitors feel like they were living in the days of the Roman Empire. It contains many statues aslo inclusion of columns and iconography typical of Roman era Hollywood productions, including a statue of Caesar Augustus near the entrance that stands over twenty feet tall. Caesars Palace is currently owned by Properties and operated by Caesars Entertainment. As of July 2016, the hotel had 3,960 rooms and suites spread across six towers and a conference room for over 28,000.

York Hall London: 1929

York Hall, officially known as York Hall Leisure Centre, is a multi-purpose fitness and leisure complex in Bethnal Green, London, off the Old Ford Road. London's York Hall opened in 1929 with a capacity of 1,200 and is now an international boxing venue. The main venue also hosts concerts and other live events, and other facilities include a gym and swimming pool.

Plaza Mexico: 1946

Plaza de Toros Mexico in Mexico City is the largest bullring in the world. This 41,262-seat hall is usually dedicated to bullfighting, but has also hosted many boxing matches including Julio Cesar Chavez's third fight with Frank Randall. Plaza Mexico replaced the old Toreo de la Condesa bullring in the Condesa neighborhood, which was overwhelmed by the capital's rapid population growth. It was inaugurated by five thousand in February and since then this date marks the date of the Corrida de Aniversario every year. This building was built next to the Estadio Ciudad de los Deportes football stadium.

Detroit Olympia: 1927

Detroit Olympia was an all-purpose arena in Detroit, nicknamed the Old Red Barn. It is best known as the home of the Detroit Red Wings from the National Hockey League which has represented the NHL since it opened in the years 1927 to 1979. Detroit Olympic Stadium was one of the largest stadiums in the United States with a capacity of fifteen thousand seats. It is the only stadium on this list that no longer exists, having been demolished over 30 years ago in.

Kia Forum: 1967

The Forum, adjacent to Madison Square Garden in New York, was once one of the most popular indoor sports venues in the United States thanks in large part to the Lakers. Successful and we often see Hollywood stars there. Hosted the 1972 and 1983 NBA All Star Games, 1981 NHL All Star Game 1984 Olympic Basketball, 1983-1988 Big West Conference and 1989 Pacific Men's Basketball 10 Conference, boxing games and major concerts featuring music and political events.

Cow Palace San Francisco: 1950

Finally, we have Cow Palace San Francisco, home of ranch shows, political concerts and conventions, basketball, hockey and boxing games.Many players have made their names here including Muhammad Ali when he was known as Cassius Clay Joe Louis and Sugar Ray Robinson.

Atlantic City Boardwalk Hall: 1929

Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall, formerly known as Historic Atlantic City Convention Hall, is a multi purpose arena in Atlantic City which is of Atlantic County of New Jersey. It was Atlantic City's first convention center until the Atlantic City Convention Center opened in 1997. Boardwalk Hall has been designated the American Convention Center one National Historic Landmark for being one of the few surviving buildings from the town's heyday as a resort town. The hall has a capacity of over five thousand for ice hockey and a maximum of more than fourteen thousand for concerts. The Miss America pageant takes place in Boardwalk Hall.

Madison Square Garden: 1879.

The garden is used for professional ice hockey and basketball, as well as boxing, mixed martial arts, concerts, ice shows, wrestling, and other sporting and entertainment events. It's close to other Midtown Manhattan landmarks, including the State Building of the Empire, which has its origins in Korean Town, and Macy's in Herald Square.Madison Square Arena is home to the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League and the New York Knicks of the National Basketball Association NBA, who hosted the New York Liberty of the Women's National Basketball Association from 1997 to 2017.

MGM Grand Garden Arena: 1993

The MGM Grand Garden Arena, originally known as the MGM Grand Garden Special Events Center, is a 17,000 seat multi purpose arena at the MGM Grand Las Vegas on the Las Vegas Strip. The arena is known for many professional boxing matches of famous highly trained  boxers as well as Canelo Alvarez and Floyd Mayweather Jr. Deontay Wilder controls Tyson Fury two.
